Shop is open for work 2:00 pm – 4:45 pm, Monday – Thursday; All day Friday. Student can work flexible hours consistent with their student class schedule.

Pay Rate $8
Minimum Experience/Education

Must be a currently enrolled UNC Charlotte student.

Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:

Prefer that student has completed Theatre Practicum Course in the Costume Shop.

Duties and Responsibilities

Work will include sorting costume items including thread, fabric, and tools; organizing costume inventory; cleaning the shop; assisting with fittings; and other tasks as determined by the Costume Shop Manager.

Other responsibilities could include sewing and building costume pieces. Students will be trained to do advanced work based on his or her ability.

Other Work/Responsibilities

Student must be able to safely carry items weighing 40lbs. Student must be comfortable using hand trucks, carts, getting dirty, and working on their feet for long periods of time.

Students will be trained to do advanced work based on his or her ability. Students who are able to learn advanced skills will be paid at a higher rate.
