Student worker must have some availability to work Mon – Fri, 11am to 3pm, plus some nights and weekends for performances.

Pay Rate $8.00
Minimum Experience/Education

Must be a currently enrolled UNC Charlotte student. Additionally, must have been awarded, and accepted, Federal Work Study funding as part of a financial aid package as administered by the Office of Student Financial Aid.

Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:

Excellent communication and customer service skills are required. Student must be prompt, reliable, and able to interact with the public in a polite and professional manner. Must be able to use a computer, telephone, and cash drawer. Student will be required to execute cash sales and handle credit card transactions according to University security guidelines. A criminal background check is required.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Robinson Hall Box Office handles ticket sales for all Music, Dance & Theatre performances throughout the year as well as special events. Students working as Box Office staff will assist patrons over the phone and in person with their ticket purchases and inquiries. They may also assist the Audience Services Manager with various box office or marketing projects. Students will work some evenings and weekends based on the performance schedule.

Other Work/Responsibilities

Student will be primarily responsible for selling tickets to Robinson Hall events using box office ticketing software. Sales will be done in person and over the phone. Student will also answer questions about upcoming events and assist prospective patrons. Student will also assist the Audience Services Manager and Performing Arts Operations Manager with various tasks as needed.
