Fall and Spring semester: Monday – Saturday 7:30 am – 4:30 pm, with one rotating day off during the week and Sundays off.

Summer: Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 4:30pm

Pay Rate $15.00-$18.00 per hour depending on qualifications.
Minimum Experience/Education

Graduation from high school and one year in the field of technology related to the position’s role.

Computer coursework may be substituted year-for- year for the required experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:

Two years’ experience installing AV equipment, terminating cabling, troubleshooting and testing equipment.

InfoComm Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities

Work with lead installer to install AV equipment on job sites (projectors, speakers, TVs, etc)

Run and terminate cabling to comply with departmental standards and practices

Perform on-site installation / troubleshooting / repair / replacement as well as supervising repairs / replacement performed by external vendors

Ensuring that AV presentation and media playback equipment is state of the art and functioning properly for UNC Charlotte classrooms and in College Departmental teaching and research spaces.

Responsible for providing quality audio/video and computer installation and support services to the University community.
