Work Schedule

Monday-Friday 7:30-4:30, 40 hours, with a minimum of two evenings and may include selective weekends with advance notice as projects dictate.

Pay Rate $16.00 per hour.
Minimum Experience/Education

Graduation from high school and one year of experience in the specialized area(s) in a broadcast television, radio and emerging media environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:
  • Video Production and Post-Production experience necessary.
  • Software: Working knowledge of Microsoft and Apple operating systems.
    Proficient in Adobe CC applications (Premiere, Prelude, After Effects, Media Encoder, etc).
  • Hardware: Production switchers, format converters, wired & wireless microphones, lighting, teleprompters, camcorders, h.323 videoconferencing systems, audio mixers, and other industry related tools and equipment.
  • Preferred experience in a University setting working with high level Administration and Faculty.
Duties and Responsibilities

Work in conjunction with the Producer and Directors to assist in performing all aspects of video production, assisting in content creation, set design and setup, acquisition, editing, duplication, and publishing.

Other Work/Responsibilities
  • Assist in the technical operations and coordination of classrooms for interactive television classes and videoconferences.
  • Work independently and in a group setting to diagnose and solve problems as they arise.
  • Plan for and maintain equipment and software redundancies to ensure project success with minimum downtime.
  • Ability to learn and properly apply all departmental policies and procedures.
