Primary Purpose of Department

Financial Systems Support provides a broad range of support for the finance and human resource systems by providing system management and integration, process improvement, problem resolution, and data analysis. FSS also identifies, manages, and implements technology priorities for Financial Services and Human Resources to assist in achieving their strategic goals.

Primary Purpose of Position

Manage and oversee support for the University’s enterprise Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) including; Banner HR/Payroll/Position Control, NinerTalent, and Kronos WorkForce Ready. Provide support to the campus by aligning multiple HR Information Systems with strategic and operational priorities. Work closely with the functional departments within Human Resources and Financial Services to ensure that HR data is captured accurately and that integrity is maintained. Lead the development and execution of standard, ad-hoc, and complex reporting and analytics for management and the campus. Directly lead and oversee the activities of the HRIS and Payroll/PosCtrl analysts and Kronos WFR System Administrator.

Summary of Position Responsibilities

- Lead Solution Development for the HR/Payroll/Position Control technology priorities for the AVC for Human Resources and AVC for Finance.

- Ensure security, maintenance, functionality and integrity of all HR/Payroll related systems including core HR, recruiting, training, performance management, compensation, benefits, payroll, position control, and time and leave keeping.

- Facilitate system and process resolutions between Human Resources and Financial Services departments.

-Manage all system testing for upgrades, patches, or required configuration changes.

- Lead systems projects that are complex in nature, including gathering systems requirements, leading implementation and ongoing development and training efforts.

Minimum Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in a business or technology related field from an accredited institution and 10+ years of experience in administrative systems analysis and support; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience

- Minimum of 8+ years of progressive management experience, preferably in higher education.
- Extensive knowledge of ERP Human Resources systems, preferably with Banner HR, Kronos, or PeopleAdmin.
- Significant ERP systems implementation and administration experience.
- Excellent business systems analysis and project management skills.
- Strong process development and documentation skills.
- Experience designing system integrations.
- Experience with report development tools, preference with WebFocus experience.
- Experience and working knowledge of SQL and SQL Developer for data analysis.
- High energy and ability to work both independently and across multiple functional departments.
- Possess strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize while multi-tasking and manage tasks in an efficient and timely manner.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal problem-solving skills.
