Primary Purpose of Position

The employee will serve as the lead consultant and program manager for the Department’s undergraduate programs (new BS in Health Systems Management, BSPH, and public health minor) and the Department’s CEPH-accredited graduate programs (MPH, PhD), which serve over 1,500 students. The work involves maintaining productive collaborative work relationships with multiple faculty program directors and administrative staff in multiple units and assessing and responding to student needs. The employee will interpret and apply accreditation standards for program assessment as well as program policies related to admissions and advising. The employee will exercise autonomy in planning, analyzing and organizing daily activities to manage program marketing and program evaluation efforts. They may supervise lower level administrative staff and will supervise graduate assistants.

Minimum Education/Experience

Graduation from a four year college or university and at least three years of program associate experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Essential Job Duties

The employee will interpret and apply accreditation standards for program assessment as well as program policies related to admissions and advising. The employee will exercise autonomy in planning, analyzing and organizing daily activities to manage program marketing and program evaluation efforts. They may supervise lower level administrative staff and will supervise graduate assistants. Day-to-day tasks require knowledge of accreditation standards, knowledge of and experience with health systems in multiple contexts, application of project/project administration skills, academic program assessment, independent decision making, communication, and collaboration with individuals from multiple stakeholder groups.

Experience with program coordination and assessment for accreditation.

The successful candidate will have to demonstrate competence in the management, reporting, and analysis of databases.

The ideal candidate also will be detailed oriented and self-directed, be an effective communicator to diverse audiences and users of data and analytic systems, and be capable of handling multiple competing tasks.
